Insight on a 2008 MC 214

Need some insight / opinons on a 2008 MC214. I'm upgrading from a Prostar 190 and would like Pro's / Con's on a 214. It has MCX 350hp engine 300 hours, factory mini tower, standard stereo, bimini, and teak platform. Appears to be in great condition overall and, is a one owner boat.

I have three teenage boys that like to do everything on the water. I have test driven an X2 and WOW that was nice, but the deal did not work out on the sellers end. So, all you 214 owners help me out.

Thanks,
Greg

only cons I can see is more weight and the wake won't be as soft as 190. Are you looking at that sweet ride at Bay Area Water Sports?

Jim will never steer you wrong... that' s great price for that sweet boat. 378 hours She looks sweet $40K for a 5 year old boat - not bad plus the tower - have him throw in a ski rack and a board rack and it would be a deal.

I would think you could land an x2 of similar vintage for about 40k... if you were really wowed by it. Advise get what UA really want if its in your price range. Even if it takes a bit more work or patience

I had a deal on an X2 but unfortunately the seller backed out of the deal. Trust me I have looked at more X2's than I can remember. Matter of fact I'm looking at some right now. LOL

Thanks Mike,

I had an opportunity to speak to him today and emailed over the original MSRP sheet from MC. The mini tower, Zero off, and the bimini where added after we recieved the boat per the original owner. The boat is on consignment and is priced under NADA midbook as the owner has one moving onto college. Priced very fair. Hope we can make it all work out for the potential owner on Friday

Happy 4th to everyone

i have the 2008 X14 photo boat and absolutley love it ... so here i am in the 6th season with it and i honestly would order the exact same boat again (if they made it still) ... it is the perfect all around boat

You can throw in a fat sack on th efloor and have a great wakeboard boat. The only thing it will not do is surf and that's fine with me ... can still pull me footing just fine

storage is terrific and again it is the perfect boat

they are very hard to find so dont wait too long
