85 stars stripes project sale/trade..ga/sc

sorry my first post is in this section...but i have been reading this site for at least a year and had many questions answered...thanks to you all.

a little about the boat...i had a gentleman that owed me some money...but he had a heart attack and could no longer work...so i took this boat in trade 2 summers ago...motor did not run...carb problems....a friend took the street holley off of it and gave me a rebuilt edelbrock marine carb...got it back in the water and the engine ran/runs great.

the lake (clarks hill in georgia) was so low last summer the boat did not go in the water...just to dangerous...so we decided to start working on the poor thing...the seats were totally shot...falling apart...my wife and her friends redone the interior...they have never sewn anything but clothes...but i think they did a fairly good job...looks o.k.

we did a lot of little things to make the boat presentable and usable....and have used it this year twice already...it will be back at clarks hill next weekend.

o.k. issues i know of.

NUETRAL SAFETY SWITCH went bad...i wired where the boat will start in gear...i will fix this.

bearing sounds like it is going out in blower.

previously installed stereo...bad job...does work...no amp..cannot listen to while running ..works fine wired correctly...just bad job on speakers and stuff.

windshield has condesation in it.

gas gauge does not work.

i think the whole gauge console needs to be replaced....thats what i want to do anyway.

when it sits over night in slip..it takes on about 3 inches of water...does not change waterline of boat....does not take on water during use during the day while in use.

bilge pump is not correct...and not plumbed up....when i relaese water from boat i take hose run it over side of boat...dump water...takes about 3 minutes...must do the same thing next morning.

probably a few more little things...bottom line is that my wife does not like this boat...i love this boat...and so does everyone else...all the kids...the neighbors love it....but my wife controls a lot of stuff.

if anyone is interested i can be reached at seven-zero-six-four-nine-six-zero-zero-eight-six.

asking 3500...please let me know if that is unreasonable...or trade for poonton.

If it was closer to me - it would be sold - and in my garage for $3500.00

the gauge shows 895.1.

last time out mph gauge showed 43 mph...with a bent prop...and some vibration...prop is now at augusta prop shop being balanced.

i bent the damn thing pulling out of driveway....i forgot i needed to use neighbors drive to stop from scrapping it....but it is now in shop being balanced...cost on me....kev.

Looks like a good deal to me too.

Think I would re-locate that Perko switch closer to the battery??
