After much debate and serious consideration I went with what I know has always done me right.I was going to make the switch to synthetic this year but decided to go with what has never failed me.After owning 3 Mastercrafts (all with different engines including a MCX) I have always used Wix oil filters and Rotella 15-40 oil and have never had a oil related issue...I am not here to say what is better but just to let you know what has always worked for me.

Really? We're actually going to start another oil thread? Do a search on best oil, and you'll find plenty of opinions.

I have a 2006 MCX. I Change the oil about every 50 hours. I use a quality filter and Rotella 15-40 or Delo 15-40. These should meet / exceed what is required by Indmar. If not....someone will be along to correct in in less than 5 minutes

Rotella 15W40 here also. I can never find Pennzoil Marine 15W40.
NAPA 1069 filter. Change every 50 hours.....once in July and once just before I put the boat away for winter.
