New wheels on old trailer, 95 Maristar

I orderd a set of 15" wheels and then tires from Thatsmrmastercraft ( Thanks Peter ). I installed them this weekend with the help of my Grandson 1 1/2 years old.

The old set of wheels just needed an upgrade, the tires on the other hande were toast. When I removed the front pair I noticed a large bulge on the outside and also cords sticking up thru the tread. The bulge was noticable, which is what lead to the new tires purchase. The belt seperating on a tire that looked new was not really noticable. After checking the date code I discovered this tire and one other were from 2006. Yep times flies when your having fun. Check your date codes!

The other 3 tires were all 2011 date codes and Carlisle tires. So I have 3 good 14" spare tires now and 2 14 " rims to stack in the garage.

Got a late start to the summer season this year, but the shake down cruise went well. Except that Perfect Pass does not power up at all and the steering is very tight. New rudder seal and shaft work from end of last season. Hit an underwater island......I love boating!

The old wheels are the top pic and the new wheels are the bottom pic.

When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things.
