Ballast

My port ballast can empty but not fill, Anyone seen this before? Sounds like it's running but not filling.

Maybe it took a good set in that direction. Now the resistance is less in that direction but possibly stronger in the other. Just a possibility.

I had a similar problem that was occurring randomly. I just pulled the stock yellow impellers out and they were definitely bent such that they were favoring one direction. Probably in the emptying position since that would have been where they sit each winter. Put in new green impellers and hope to test next week.

And the other two fill just fine? I was thinking bad check valve (or valves) on the "empty" hoses, but if the other two are filling normally then check valves should be ok. Blow into the "empty" port on each side of the boat to be sure the check valves are ok. If you can blow air into it then the check valve is bad and you won't get enough vacuum to draw water - but because they all feed off of the same manifold, a bad check valve should affect all three equally. Are you positive the pump is running when switched to "fill"?
