That looks like a needle valve from a float assembly ..

Have a look on PDF file page 17/21 at the view box #2.

I am not certain....

Na, the needle for the float would have a grove and a wire hook on it so it could attach to the float. That's how the float pulls it up.

Its not part of the float assembly as stated above those needles have a wire through them.

EDIT: Figured it out. It is the pump discharge needle valve. It goes in below the squirter. Thank you for the diagram Cloaked!!!!

I could not find a use for those square cork pieces when I rebuilt my 4160. Actually, I had at least 7 or 8 parts in there that I couldn't find a place for.

No idea! They put a lot of extra parts in the kit for some reason.

There is some overlap where more than one carb application will be serviced by a carb kit. Spare parts left over in the kit isn't necessarily a bad thing. Spare parts left over in the carb basket is usually a problem.

That the accelerator pump discharge check needle. It is item #82 in the parts diagram. It installs in the pump discharge channel beneath the pump discharge nozzles.
