1980 S&s

Well it looks like I will finally be parting with the family 1980 S&S. The boat was well known in the SE boat owners reunion circuit where my mom and dad won many awards in the 90s and early 2000s. I brought the boat to Dallas with me in 2006 and enjoyed 6 years of kids and family use. With the last one just graduated and the wife and I downsizing as we head into the empty next days, it is time for the boat to find a new home. It has always been garaged but does need some work to include stringers and one fender. The motor has about 1000 hrs and has a brand new carb added 2 seasons ago. I also have all the award plaques and t-shirts my parents collected over the years from the reunions. All the original paperwork and lots of other extra pieces (custom wheels, original carb etc) also will go with it as I would love to see someone carry the boat's history forward. If interested pls PM me. Asking $4500.

New price...$3900!!

Very nice Star and Stripes with a bunch of heritage. The price you ask is very fair in fact a real deal depending. Someone should snatch this beaut up, wish I was in the market.

Nice looking machine. I'd like to ask for a few more pictures please. I'm just a tire kicker but I'd really like to see more of the boat - interior / exterior and maybe some show pictures.

This was one of the first powerslot production boats...has a 1" shaft swinging a 15x15 prop (instead of the standard 1-1/8 " shaft swinging the 14x17 I believe). The hole shot with the 15x15 is eye-opening!

Does the transmission have the 1.5:1 spec stamped on it? That is an odd combo.....

Again, nice looking machine...

Not sure where the stamp is but it is a 1.5 trans. The boat was the first powerslot in South Florida as the promo boat for Bill "DYNOMITE" Caldwell, a great driver in those days before perfect pass.

I actually have a 1980 powerslot promo that lists the trans as a 1.5 and the prop as a 15x15

Here is the flyer...I believe one of the reasons they went to the 14x17 prop was to reduce the "trick table" turbulence that was noted with the first slots.
