CC Tour

Found myself in Orlando last week, and took the opportunity to tour the Correct Craft factory. Apparently the regular guy (Larry) giving the tour was retiring the next day, so I got the last tour of his career.

I've been to the MC factory already, so it was fun to compare the differences.

Anyone else had the chance to see the place?

I have a good friend who has visited all of the big inboard factories: MC, CC, Malibu, Tige, Centurion, etc.

He has told me more than once that MC was "by far" the most impressive. He compared it to a surgical room, in terms of cleanliness and order.

For me the two factories had a lot of similarities. Very similar construction methods. CC had a small parts fiberglass area that was a bit different. MC was definitely cleaner, and felt more optimized.

I work for a "lean manufacturing" facility and it was cool to see 5S and things of that nature at the MC factory.

They do it way better than we do...
