Yep almost 1/2 inch over by striaght edge. I'm lucky it was not any worse as to glass damage. The strut is way out of shape. Have not taken it down yet so I guess it has a shaft out of the base part that goes up into the collar topside.

USAA said it would be covered less deductible--
