Saltwater set up

Looking at a used boat that has a salt water set up. It has only been used in the saltwater a few times. I will be using the boat in fresh lake water. Should I have any concerns about a saltwater boat and are there drawbacks to a saltwater boat being used in fresh water?

Avoid it like the plauge! Only a few times can cause corroding and pitting.

Don't be silly, if it is a saltwater series boat it is set up so the salt doesn't go through the engine, thousands of noats are used in salt daily,

You do want to look for corrosion particularly rusty block or trailer. But if its clean and saltseries a few uses wont koll it
