Weighting a 205

Any experience with optimizing the wave on a 205? I have 750 in the stern and an integrated bow sack. We get plenty of wave height but it is not long enough. Tried adding even more weight to the bow but still short. Is there a solution for this hull?

I don't think you can get a great wave out of the hull. I've tried a lot of different setups. It is surfable, but the wave is short and steep. The best I've found is 1000lbs in the nose, KGB full, 750 on the surf side and move everyone in the boat to the surf side. The nose weight keeps the platform from dragging and making the wave wash. I think the platform on your 2000 sits a few inches lower, so it may drag regardless.

The best I got out of my '95 205 was 750-800 against the between dog house (both size) and 250 in bow above ski locker... still a wimpy wake - but good enough to play on.

Basically what we got we also fill klb and put people on the surf side. Nice and steep but too short. Seemingly a limitation of the hull.
