MC Tower Speaker Headroom

Do MC tower speaker cans give you more headroom than the JL cans? It looks like they give you about an inch more because they bolt directly to tower . Tks

I have the new JL tower speakers. It depends on the tower that you have. The MC JL cans are the same as the JL ones, the mounting brackets are different. You will need to purchase the appropriate brackets for your tower. My brackets are the clamps that go around the tower bar, the mounts for the new towers are made to mount directly to the appropriate location on the tower. Hope that explanation makes sense.

I'm wanting a comparison of the factory billet cans to the factory JL cans. It looks like the billet cans bolt directly to the tower while the JL cans require an additional MC bracket to attach them. Can anyone weigh in on this? I'm thinking the billet cans allow more headroom. Tks
