Alternative to carpet

Is anyone using an alternative to carpet on their trailer / lift? My boat sits on a lift all summer, gets wiped down regularly but can't get to where the boat sits on the bunks. Over the years I had some bad staining where it sits on the bunks, this past winter I pulled it off the trailer and cleaned the heck out of it and don't want to do this again was hoping there is some product out there that wont retain water that wont scratch the gel coat.

A bunch of folks make different types of composite materials for bunks.
