What parts are you looking for? Is the value of the parts you need equal to or greater than the value of that boat? $5500 seems a lot to spend on something as a donor vehicle. FWIW, that CL boat seems in better shape than the 88 I bought- it's got a new engine, anyway. I paid $3500 for mine with 940 hours. It needed a new rear trans seal, vinyl work and a good cleaning. Seems a shame to buy a usable boat to strip for parts. If you're buying that as a donor, it would suggest your boat might be a bit rough. Maybe the thing to do is buy the CL boat and use yours as a donor?

Just seems the motor is in pretty good shape, cost of rebuild and maybe a couple of odds and ends like a couple gauges, the dash maybe in better shape the cost of boat would even out. and make a pretty good boat with which ever hulls in better shape.

That is a bargain price on that boat......probably a reason for it. Should be worth checking out.

Good point. How bad's your existing motor? Could you buy a short block and swap your accessories (starter, alternator, etc.) over?
Wonder how hard it would be to dispose/sell the remaining hull? I just shudder at the thought of gutting a running MC for parts. Granted, it's not a popular hull design, but it's still a solid ski tug. G |

Not sure about this boat but that's my Wellcraft 192 American behind it. Learned a lot about boats and how wake board with it. 4 cyl. 140 hp.
The Marister replacement (330 hp) seems to have a bit more pep |

I bought that identical boat new in 1987. Mine was a 351/slot. It was a great boat. The side windows opened for a little fresh air. It was a little Inconvienant to get a ski out of the water from the drivers seat (compared to a SS). I hate to see nice boats getting stripped down.
