I would expect them to have already invested some time to look at the boat so they can properly assess its condition. Have a VDIG that perhaps needs replacing in its first use means that they missed something that they ought to have discovered and disclosed.

IMHO, they should fix the boat just for good customer service. Then they can figure out if they should bill the warranty company or not.
I have been asking myself that very same question... My dealer says they test every used boat they get and sell. It only took me 30 seconds to realize the down button didn't work. I really think someone knew about this but did nothing about it. I purchased the boat in October, they had all winter to fix this but nothing was said or done.

There is an undocumented procedure used to reset the dealer service reminders. Might be worth a try. I'll see if I can find it.
I did do the Factory Rest from the Setup menu, but that didn't work.

To reset dealer reminders would be nice since I just started getting the oil change reminder even though they just did an oil change before I picked up the boat in the winter.

Here it is:

http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...ad.php?t=26220

<go to the setup page, scroll down to the reset service reminder and it will ask you for the dealer key sequence to clear it. Use the down/up buttons ... its up, down, up, down. Wait a few seconds in between each key press.>

BJ, go easy on the dealer. They most likely didn't know about it otherwise they would have fixed. I say this b/c we have had to replace 2 VDIGs recently. Similar issue, but the down arrow didn't work at all. Found one for $35. Obviously the seller had no idea what he was selling

It should be covered under warranty. One of ours was, but different warranty company.

In a previous post, you should try that. IIRC unscrew the 4 allen bolts that hold the bezel, pull the gauge through, unplug it for 1 minute. Plug it back in. Turn on the key and see what you get...See if the arrows work correctly. Worth a try. Will take 30 seconds...

Hear ya.. My dealer is helping me out with this issue However I am a little sensitive when it come to issues missed after a lake test. Just look at my history, I havent had the greatest luck with my last two X25s.... On the bright side, my dealer has always been there to service me..

Wouldnt unplugging the guage for 1 minute be the same as shutting off the batteries?
