Now they are just mean, fat, lazy poop machines.

No problem with the video. I would be on the driver's azz to slow down but it looks like they like it so no harm for the slalom/board crossover riding.
How far are you from Osage Beach?

About 3 hrs, 180 miles. We usually make it down several times a year.

Ohhh, Usually a condo at Four Seasons for a week (12mm);
Stay on the boat for Shootout, PB2 or where ever we stop drinking;
Who ever's condo/house we get an invite for.

Would like to make it down to BroStock but I host a big party on Perry that weekend. Hopefully we will drag a hung over group down for Sunday to watch the OSS races.

U?

okay maybe I see the issue but several of us have been there..... growing up we were the only skiers on our bay. I bought my first skis and rope at a rummage sale when I was 10 and everything about learning skiing behind our 15 and a half foot tri hull was trial and error from skiing on two planks all the way through barefooting...... had nobody to tell us how to do any of it. I saw someone slalom when I was 12 and decided I needed to learn to do that...... it took several afternoons but my driver (dad) and I learned to deep water through trial and error.

Also as a kid I would ski behind whoever was willing to take the time to drive me....... I had several rides like this young man had that were either way too fast or way too slow but it beat not going at all.

all that being said it would have been a tough crash catching an edge at that speed and a learning point for both driver and rider.

it did give me the thought that you could run a slalom course on a wakeboard

Agreed John it was too fast to be safe. Anyone on here that said it wasn't unsafe is fooling themselves. Yeah maybe they weren't breaking any laws. And who hasn't tried to run down a goose or duck or seagull while boarding. But as John said. Catch an edge at that speed and would have been a lesson learned for both rider and driver.

Safe wakeboarding speed is not 30+ and by the video I would say closer to 40. That's dangerous. Nuff sed.

I'm sure they were having fun. But its all fun and games until someone gets a concussion.

My first time skiing, I was skiing off the boom and facing the sun. Out of no where I see some ducks ahead of me that were blocked by the glair of the sun coming off the lake. I came close to hitting one but didn't. The people in the boat got a kick out of it, but someone on shore didn't. After we pulled back into shore a game warden was waiting for us. "You know that's illegal?" blah blah blah "Lets see your life preservers, throwable cushion and fire extinguisher." That day became an expensive one for my dad.
