Best settings for X-25

Just got a 2010 X-25. Only have the factory ballast tanks, trim tab, surf tabs. What is the best setup for surf/wakeboarding?

Are the additional plug n' play bags necessary for a good surf wake?

Any suggestions for the best speed for surfing?

What is your goal? For wakeboarding, we just fill the factory ballast system and set speed to comfort and skill level, anywhere from 19 mph for beginners to 23 for more advanced riders. All plates are left up for wakeboarding.

For surfing, you will need additional weight, at least an extra 450-lb bag in the rear compartment of the side you are surfing on. More is always better. For surfing, we use the tabs 100% down and the plate 30-40%. We add a bit more weight too, another 750-1100 lbs on the side we are surfing on. We always fill KGB stock, then always the side we are surfing on as well.

My goals are really more geared towards surfing. No one that is wakeboarding behind this boat on a regular basis will need a giant wake. We are all intermediate at best. I am looking for a giant knarly surf wake. Sounds like I need a bag for each rear trunk to alternate for surfing.

Any suggestions on which to buy?
