My brother in law with a 94 pro star stuck the 1/4 in plastic tube in sucked the oil out and then the tube stuck? What could it be stuck on? Any suggestions?

Several threads here on this issue.... also recommending not to use this method... Search in the engine forum for one of the threads. I remember one with a resolution.

This happens from time to time. Need to carefully try to twist the tube. Might need to push it in a little as you work with it. Patience is the key to getting it out.

I was using this method. Then I realized my boat had one of the oil drain hoses installed on the pan drain plug. Don't know how I missed that. I made an adapter with a 3" long piece of hose I had laying around and a brass threaded X barbed 90 degree elbow. Now to change the oil I just unscrew the plug on the drain hose, screw on my adapter, then my oil pump slips onto the adapter. I can suck out all the old oil right from the bottom of the pan, don't have to mess with a dipstick tube, and its done much faster without messing with a drain pan. I'll try and post a pic when I'm in the garage next.
