Re-gelcoating

Is there anyone out there that has resprayed there boat using gelcoat? I have a black
X9 and it is getting tired, previous repairs can be seen. I have kept it up over the last 6 years but want to update. I want to go metalflake. Any horror stories, tips, advice. I own an Autobody shop and don't want to use Automotive paint.

I have seen a write up on it somewhere. A guy did it on his S&S, turned it into black hull and deck and silver stripes i believe. Think I saw it on The Mastercraft Project on Face Book. Someone on here should chime in about it. Beautiful job.
