slowed the boat again to 30, was running 15 off b2b2b, but only getting 4 @ 32 mph... water on our river site was too busy and full of trash after these rains

My boat is still in the garage waiting for a battery and new impeller. Weather here sucks.

Only been out 3 times. Slowest start that I can remember. Water just finally hit 60 degrees this week.

Well I ran my -35 with authority last night.

Slowed my gate down and ran it. I have only been getting to 3 ball all year and once I got around 3 headed to 4 I instantly felt in better course position such as not being rushed or running the course late.

I tried 2 shots at -38 and I've got to figure out gate angle and speed. Nothing was made on either attempt at -38.

All in all I'm happy.

I did take a massive handle shot on my -35 at exit gates. I was like come he|| or high water I'm running this pass. I tweaked a muscle in my back where I have previously broken 4 vertebra and today I'm a little tight. I figure by Saturday I'll be good. Lots of Advil and water.

D3 all the way baby! Met one of the owners in Denver at the airport, he's a heck of a guy! Said he was going back to the shop to fine tune a ski...think he said he works with Freddie and others to validate. Must've been testing at high altitudes.

History. Started skiing after decade off. Was only a 15 off skier then. Got into 22 once in practice. Granted that was 36 mph. 3 years ago joined a local ski club. By the end of the year was running into 22 consistently though I am now at 34 mph. Tore my rotator cuff and only skied 5 sets last year. So far this year couldn't do anything, so bought a new ski to replace my 20+ year old stick. Took a while to get it dialed in. I have progress rapidly since figuring it out. Ran off the dock 6 @ 15, 6 @ 22, 41/2 @28. By the end of the night I managed 3@32 off. Wasn't pretty, previously could only get 1@32. So my goal is the run 32 this season and get into 35. I think it's pretty good for a 240 lbs guy. If I could loose a few pounds I am sure it would help things, but I like to eat.

So, what's it like to ski with an inguinal hernia about the size of a hernia? Found out the 15th I have one. Gonna try it out tmrw. Hoping to ski out the season and get it fixed this winter.

I finally got some good skiing this week, and this morning i ran up the line from 22 into 38, and then again from 32 into 38. First time this year that I have been able to run straight up into 38. I was going to skip regionals this weekend due to sporadic skiing, but now i'm tempted to go. If I could just ski 2-3 times per week, i'd be feeling great, but instead I've been averaging once every 7-10 days.
