2013 Slalom Ski Thread
Let's roll off of last years thread and see who can throw up good numbers this year.
Yesterday was my first time in the course since September-October. I can barely move today. Ran [email protected] (34mph) I met phntmski out to do course maintenance. We got it all back in. He skied and I drove. The water was nice so I borrowed all of his gear as I did not plan on skiing. Pass 1) [email protected] 2) [email protected] 3) [email protected] -35 4) skied to the dock. I was tired and I wanted my ski. I'm used to my ski and wanted my large bindings vs his mediums. They were too tight.

I would suggest more boat speed or a bit larger ski ?
Agree.....stay on edge and Pull through the wake. |

Now I know it's cold and busting your a$$ in cold water is not fun, but try being more aggressive behind the boat. More angle so perpendicular to the direction the boat is going. Then roll the ski to the opposite edge after the wake crossing. This will slow you down without having the lean back or tons of slack. Not bad for the first time out though.

Okay more perpendicular adding to list... but I do want to try the bindings one notch forward....ski it 30,32, 34, and 36 and see how it feels... even at high speeds my ski tip seems way high. Even my X-SL seems to be riding high at tip compared to Marcus Brown and other training vids. My front binding always seems to be out of water...oh well - work work work... ![]() #1 - losing my stacked position #2 - I am not keep rope down #3 - adjusting binding to have ski ride flatter in the water... #4 - need to keep shoulders in right position.. #5 - more perpendicular to boat

Mike. What ski are you on.
I can get some measurements on where to put the bindings.
