Phil, thanks for the direct product explanation.
While anyone with experience with the KMT and WS product would know there is no comparison, a quick search engine hit will pull up many threads where people do question the value difference vs performance of the two products. Thus the public does draw a comparison. Not that there is a patent to an general enclosure consisting of a woofer, tweet, woofer or that people don't ask if one four can set up is better than another.

If the OP has not been scared off or abandoned after initial post, here is the system for $350

Maybe that is within budget?
IMO, the 6500.2 and 2 pair of cans at $500 is more bang for the overall system buck.

Just an fyi, but both the original Wetsounds Pro485 and Kicker Kmt60 are patterned after the Electro-Voice Evid 6.2. The Electro-Voice design is shared by other pro sound builders and has been around for decades.
