Here's a pic of my 96 with the pole. Pay no attention to the front mounting strap location, just did it for a pic!

Here's a little bit of a better picture. They work great and again, you can remove the pylon in less than 5 minutes.

A tower will add value to some buyers, but cause others to rule your boat out of their search. An extended pylon is easily removed and has no value on resale. My advice is to go with what you like. If you find a tower that you think looks great, chances are others will like it as well. If not, don't put money into something you don't find to be an improvement to your boat. If you do add one ski and board racks get most of the clutter up off our floor to make the boat feel less crowded.
