Dash - Anybody done this?

Few years ago I saw a post where someone took apart their dash and side consoles, had the printable 3M vinyl overlaid on them (with whatever graphic they designed) and then reinstalled. I have an '03 and wanting to get rid of the "wood veneer" look - anybody else have experience at this. I remember that thread, he gave tips on a few things - seems like the throttle was a serious pita, but I don't know why. I think before I attempt, I need to know why...

Can't find that thread.

Talk with Kyle, you might be able to get the dash dipped, instead of wrapped...

looking at the di noc, it almost appears per the Youtube that a TALENTED installer could do it on the boat - the way he was wrapping stuff on a Mini Cooper, I would think it could be done...
