Whats a better surf wave between the 2016 X20 and 2016 X30

Im looking for a little advice on which boat will produce the best surf wave. We are looking to buy our first boat and are torn between a 6.0 x20 and 5.7 x30. I also have reservations with the x30 having a 5.7 as we plan to eventually sack it out and want to make sure that we have adequate power. Any experience or advice would greatly be appreciated.

X30 with triple tab auto launch is sufficient. X30 will 100 percent surf better than the 20

Can reprop X30 too. Properly weighted X30 is at the top of the game!

Engine will tach lower while surfing thus saving fuel.

They both will surf very well...The X30 is more of a crossover boat while the X20 is really surf specific. I wouldn't base your decision on which boat has a better surf wave as they will be very similar. I would consider other factors (cost, size preference, options, preferred colour, engine etc)...

Thanks so much for the input. Each boat we are looking at has its own plus and minuses however I want to make sure we are making the right choice as our number one recreation will be surfing. Judging from the previous threads it seems as though both would need additional weight in order to achieve a respectable wave. Other factors in our decision would be based on the ability to handle chop with ease followed by being able to handle a loaded boat with full ballast.

From my experience the X20 doesn't need any additional weight. In fact, I find the wave better with only 1 -2 people in the boat.

Starboard side. No lead in boat in that pic yet. You can easily push 3'6"

Also the bow rise in an x20 is insane. Demo both!
