If you're talking about the switch on the transmission, check with Ski DIM, skidim.com. If you're talking about the button near the throttle, not sure. I'd still recommend Ski DIM as a start point.

A temporary work around is to bypass the safety switch until you find what you need (an easy task). I do not condone this but I have read on the internet where this works well in times of need to keep the family happy.

The safety switch on the transmission is a possible problem as stated previously. Go to the end of the shifter cable and make sure the safety switch there is in the correct position (push by hand toward the rear of the boat and bump the starter to see if that was the issue).

Good advice by waterloggeg. You can also check with your DVOM. If you need a new switch, SKIDIM is your answer.

If it won't crank neutral safety switch on the side of the transmission. Quick and easy. If it won't fire try bypassing the clip near the throttle. Most just leave it bypassed in my experience.

I think it is the switch my the throttle. The boat was cranked by messing with the switch. I need A new switch. I have looked at that site, but haven't seen the switch. Can I bypass it by connecting the two wires?

I was having the same issue - replaced the neutral safety switch - I ordered from Skidim. Here is what the part looks like for a 90 prostar with powerslot tranny:
