Electrical diagram 90' maristar?

I am considering a complete overhaul of the electrical on my maristar. Is there a source for finding the schematics?

My main issues at the moment have to do with the electric choke (doesn't seem to work at all) and a loose purple wire coming out of the bundle with the orange Alt. wire that does not seem to have a home.

That loose purple wire more than likely goes to the choke, it should have 12v purple to one terminal and the other terminal is ground.

It is too short, and my choke is hooked up. One purple wire coming from the coil pack area, and the other terminal to the body of the carb (neutral). This wire is much lower and very short, or clipped. It can in its current state only reach the alternator body, but there seems to be no home for it.

Could be the "exciter" wire for the alternator.

It is not either of these purple wires. But the upper of these 2 goes to the choke, and the lower to the breaker strip on the bell housing. Is there supposed to be a push to choke option on the ignition switch?

No the choke is electric, when the key is on you should have 12v on the purple wire going to it.

If you have the 351w here is an old engine wiring diagram, it will be about impossible to get a wiring diagram for the rest of the boat maybe a Clymer manual will be helpful.Name: 351w diagram.jpg

Ahh ha, what is "Alt exciter"? This must be my purple wire in question. I do not seem to have a spot for it on the alternator on the boat. Is it possible this no longer serves a purpose on a newer model Alt?
