Well it appears eventually all oil filters will be under the wing of the orange death can. Fram has recently acquired Champion Labs (~18 month ago) which makes Mobil, K&N, Royal Purple and many of our other favorite filters. I hope it's just an ownership thing and not going to change manufacturing processes.
Glad I have a ford in the boat Motorcraft FL-1A (Purolator) and I have a couple NOS of Mobil-1 M1210 for the F-150, I guess when these 2 last M1 filters are gone the F-150 will go back to Motorcraft FL820S.
Although I really hope they don't mess with the M1 filters.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

Interesting read. Not 100% lab quality test but pretty insightful bench test none the less.

So much for anti-trust laws in the USA. The crap the gov't lets happen in the name of capitalism is a joke. Look at the mergers the FTC has let go through. Might as well get rid of the whole gov't department as they Aren't doing s..t

I'll stick with my Wix filters. For a while I had a problem finding a Wix filter for a 2001 Lincoln LS and mostly what I could find for it was Fram. Last year was the first time I could get a Wix for that car so I hope it continues.
