Question about replacing bow navigation lights

So I got stopped by the local DNR last week putting the boat up on the trailer and he pointed out to me that my port bow navigation red light was out. I ordered a new light from Miami's Mastercraft dealer and it came as a single unit with wires attached to the housing and everything. Is there a way to just change out the bulbs without splicing into my existing wiring? It looks like there are clips on the housing and the LEDs should come up but I have put some considerable force on them and they have not separated. I just didn't want to break anything and wanted to see if anyone has had to replace the bow navigation lights before? Thanks! BTW it is on a 2009 X14

I just replaced mine on my 83 this weekend... way different though. LED's typically don't burn out quickly. Have you checked the fuse for the bow light?

Yes and its just one fuse that powers all nav lights and the anchor (tower) light so it has to be the LED I'm thinking???
