Funny thing is, I don't recall deleting any threads. Mods back then spoke softly and were given no stick at all.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

To my friend Doug,

Congrats on your involvement with this great community for the past decade. You have been a staple of this board (and the three or four different formats prior to). Believe it or not, I still recall that post in which I asked for a photo of your boat. We have seen a lot of people come and go on here. I recall JimN and Andre being there at the start too. Also, I remember when Denny came onboard and all his crazy stories about fixing washing machines in old MC t-shirts. You'll always be our "Eastie," LOL!

All the best,
Brian

But roughly 10 years ago, I bought a MasterCraft Pro Star 205. Right after sending in the financing information to the dealership, I googled the proper method for using the boat buddy on a MasterCraft trailer and found Teamtalk. It was a treed unithread designed forum. There was one folder, but everyone just posted in the tree. I posted only occasionally for a while. But, at some point that summer, BriEOD asked for a picture of my boat. Somehow, I was able to get an attachment posted. Several folks from those early days, BriEOD, JimN, and Andrew to name only a few are still around. The next spring, the forum got a facelift to vBulletin, at which point the dreaded post count was added. And, in the summer 2004, it got another facelift that reflects my current join date.

It has been a good time and, suffice it to say, I have managed to learn a lot about boats here in the last ten years.

Cheers!

Doug, I was on that old unithread with you and BriEOD with the black background.
I cannot believe it has been ten years that we have been on here.

Many thanks to you, Doug!

You've always been a stand up guy on many subjects and you're contributions here are endless. This forum wouldn't be the same without your presence.

I tip this glass of scotch to you!

I think you and I joined at about the same time but I don't know exactly when I first saw this forum. I do remember that my first post was in response to someone recommending that the OP cut the wire to the warning buzzer under the dash on a new boat.

They tried to get rid of us by making us moderators, but it obviously didn't work. Have you seen/heard anything from or about Lee Cromwell?
