Ten Years

I think the official anniversary of my first post on Team Talk passed in February. But I'm a little slow on the uptake on these sorts of thing.

But roughly 10 years ago, I bought a MasterCraft Pro Star 205. Right after sending in the financing information to the dealership, I googled the proper method for using the boat buddy on a MasterCraft trailer and found Teamtalk. It was a treed unithread designed forum. There was one folder, but everyone just posted in the tree. I posted only occasionally for a while. But, at some point that summer, BriEOD asked for a picture of my boat. Somehow, I was able to get an attachment posted. Several folks from those early days, BriEOD, JimN, and Andrew to name only a few are still around. The next spring, the forum got a facelift to vBulletin, at which point the dreaded post count was added. And, in the summer 2004, it got another facelift that reflects my current join date.

It has been a good time and, suffice it to say, I have managed to learn a lot about boats here in the last ten years.

You have taught many things east - happy anniversary.... Thanks to all of you who put the time into this forum. I have read the other forums but they are not as interesting as this one IMO

If the site was updated in July 2004 I guess I joined a few month after that. I can't be certain why I joined, besides the fact that I owned an MC, but I know I barely got on those first years. Then a few years ago I started to really enjoy this site!
If its not a competition ski boat, its always second best.

I'm sure others can attest to this as well, but your knowledge has been invaluable to me in searches during my short tenure here so far. Thanks for sticking around and helping people like myself with your experience.

Happy anniversary East!!! I started snooping around TT back in '05 time frame but ended up joining to make posts in '09 when I got closer to upgrading from our '83 S&S. You have provided very good information on a number of topics that I have found very useful. thanks for your expertise!!!

Man, time flies.....
If I remember correctly, I actually spotted (and bought) my 83 S&S on this site back in late 1998. Midwest MC posted it on-line. I kept that boat for 10 years until I bought my 98 Anniversary.

Wow, I was wondering when the forum began. I've ski'd with Mitch from this site and he was here back in the 03 - 04 days. I didn't come arount till '06 when I was searching for a manual for my 88 tristar at the time.
Prior boats - (3) X14's, (3) Prostars, and a Tristar.

Happy belated anniversary Eastie. Thank you for all the information you have contributed and organized on this forum, especially with the FAQ.
