Primarily a different control scheme with a master volume control, dual zone control (also on previous version), and a dedicated bass level control so you can sum the sub with either the in-boat or tower zones or both.

what worked for me if you want to be really cheap...

I downloaded a microphone app for my phone and when i activate the app and sound picked up from my phone played through the speakers per my aux cord plugged in at driver's position... i did learn that i had to fade the sound to the tower speaker and out of the boat to prevent feedback but in coaching mode this was no issue and for the free/$0.99 app i thought i could make it work

What a good idea. I will do this for sure. At least until I get the 420. so many things I still need to get.

for as much as you think you'd use it... minimal investment was key for me... seemed steep for a cool toy
