How to turn your tower speakers into a PA system for coaching?

Answer the cheapest and or best way to make this happen for teaching newbies without losing my voice.

Does anyone have a set up that works?

The wetsounds ws420 has a mic built in. It's $299.

Looks like that wetsounds product will kill two birds with one stone. Allow me to control 3 zones; say tower, cockpit and sub. As well as override with a push of a button to use as a PA.

Anyone have any experience hooking this up to a all JL system. Or is there a JL equivalent. Do you have a basic description of how its installed?

It's easy to install. Power, ground, remote turn on, and rcas from the source and to the amps.

nevermind, it looks like I'd just need 3 sets of extra RCA's to install it. I might get this, I have been trying to have something to seperate the zones and a PA Thanks for the tip bud.

Can anyone explain how the "boat link" works? Seems like it just has an output 3.5 jack and you would have to run a wire to another boat. Kinda weird

Yeah, there is a 3.5 output jack and you run a cable to another boat. We use the boat link quite a bit.

It says "to hook up to another boat with a WS420" but I'm guessing any other boat that has a 3.5 input would be able to be linked up right?

Thanks for the turn on. I'm most definitely getting one.

Yeah, any boat with a 3.5 input. If everyone has ws420s, you can just daisy chain the signal down the line to link multiple boats.

You can do the same thing with 3.5 splitters, but sometimes the output is kinda low that way.

The ws420 is great. You will be really happy with it. They just released the updated version last week, so your timing is perfect.
