2004 X10 - folding tower back?

I have a 2004 X-10 which *barely* fits in my garage. The tower, when folded down into the bow, barely clears the opening for my garage. To make it clear the top of my opening, I have to remove the small extenders on the tower and put the tongue down all the way down. I also had to replace the wheel on the tongue jack with a much smaller one and, even then, the tower scrapes along the molding for the garage door.

I saw a message which referred to changing the pivot point on a tower so that it folds backwards toward the stern, rather than forward into the bow. Apparently, you can get a few more inches of clearance.

Is this possible on my X-10?
