1994 Prostar 190

Trying to get an idea of what a 1994 prostar 190 should cost. My neighbor has one and is talking about selling it. It has 675 hours and the hull is in great shape, however, the interior is in rough shape. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Protour LT-1....nice! Is it a powerslot trans?

Too bad the interior needs to be redone. I would assume a complete job will run $3K or more. Looks like you need some decals too, Jim@BAWS can help you there.
There is a service bulletin on that LT-1 for the steam tube relocation to the front of the engine. (search for it)

$10K might be a good starting point.

PS, the SAFE-T-Top looks cool but you're going to hate crawling under it.

That boat + new viper interior like the 190 a while back (maybe "ryan") would be 100% badass.

That is one desirable boat! Lowball him, say $8500 and go from there. He can only say no. If the interior is trashed how does the dash/carpet/bilge look? Take some detailed pics of everything, dash, motor, carpet, trailer, everything, we'll pick it art for you!

How well was this boat maintained in terms of oil changes, trans fluid changes, etc?

By looking at the interior, the trailer and the platform, boat seems a bit rough. Engine looks about average in terms of being clean but all those things are cosmetic.

Not sure if those decals are original though but not a big deal.

T Top is cool but you can get one on Ebay for $400...so the value of that is not that great.

I would start at $7,500 and go from there...boat is worth more than that but he might just jump on it. I have not seen many ProTours so the boat is definitely cool!

Good luck! Get it cheap and clean it up!

Let's see some pictures of the interior. I want to see how trashed. I agree with the statement that that is a very desirable boat. Interior is easy enough to replace. Price will depend on what needs to be replaced, and what needs a good scrubbing.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

$8000 you should plan on $3,000 to $4,000 to get it up to a $11k value. Nice ride .... Trailer will need love, plus engine, interior .... $8k is fair as a starting point. Just my $0.02 .... I had a 93 with powerslot, so I love the potential of your purchase.
