that is exactly what it is. mine was ordered from the factory as a maristar with X-Package.

This is why MC guards their product so insanely. They know eventually yahoos will end up with a couple used ones and try and market themselves as wannabe MC dealers and try and peddle something to some MC OCD's that can spot bullcrap at a 1000 yards

Does it have perfectpass? Hard to tell from the pics.
No board racks?
I see one rudder and one prop, but twin throttles and twin shift levers. Is it a single engine or twin? (confused)

Def not an x-80. just spotted that there is no PP, seconds after LittleFuss. This would be a maristar with a tower. X series package does come with board racks. but appears to have ballast based on all the holes in the side.

Exactly...Mastercraft can't tell the difference between a maristar and x series by looking up the HIN unless its the original dealer also I do believe swivel racks weren't an option till either 05/06

IIRC, nothing on my certificate of origin indicated that my X14 was an X series. It just said Prostar 214. But my original invoice from the dealer and build sheet stated X14. So I do believe that an X80 is technically a Maristar 280 with an X80 package. But the boat in this thread does not appear to have the X package as others have pointed out. The dash is one of the telltale signs.

Boat CO would list as X-80. Trailer CO will list as MS280/X-80.
Looks like a MS280 w/tower to me.
IIRC PP was standard on all X-Stars & X-80's in 04. Just my .02
Hope this finds everyone well...been a while

It is clearly a Maristar. It says so in the seat embroidery as well. I have the same year and mine is an actual X-80, came with integrated ballast tanks, X80 side decals, X80 embroidery, the PP, tower with board racks, and carbon dash. The metal dash someone mentioned above didn't come till later. That does appear to be a Maristar with a tower.
