Traveling to Gary, IN
Will be traveling for work to Gary, IN and will be staying around merrillville indiana. Any places besides chains to eat, or anything interesting to do in the general area?

Gary is a terrible area. Merriville has its ups/downs. Lots of chains that you would see in the Northeast I imagine.

If you like ribs there's a bar/resturaunt called "Wagners" in Porter,IN if you want to do a little driving from Merriville. It's off the beaten path a bit but good.

Kelsey's Steakhouse is very good. There is one in Valparaiso, and one in Portage.
