Non-MC Tower Light Options -Ideas?

Hi all. Getting ready to replace my factory cans on my X-Star with aftermarket speakers. Unfortunately, I rather like having the docking lights in the cans and will miss those. Due to the cost of the factory tower light options, looking for something different. I had a pair of PIAA 1100X pencil beam driving lights on my motorcycle and they were every bit as bright as my current tower lights, if not brighter, so considering something along those lines:

Has anyone gone with a non-boat specific light that worked well, did the job and didn't look Mickey Mouse? If so, please chime in. Thanks.

I'd look into an LED light bar over those lights you pictured there. You can get some incredibly bright light bars.

light bar

I installed this: SO much brighter than 5 halogens and MUCH cleaner. Uses less power too.

Although that's a great idea, the bounce back from a light bar would be blinding, I would think. Plus, I might end up with a Rev410 in the middle of the bar at some point down the road...way down the road. I really want to stick with a pencil beam light setup to minimize the bounce back.

Helton, I was typing while you were posting. Looks nice. How is the bounce back with those (in complete darkness)?

After some "reflection," the PIAA 1100 LED seems like it might be the right choice for me. I have a number of tapped/threaded mounting points on my tower already. These are small, yet bright and shouldn't blind me with the bounce back off the bow. I think they would mount up nicely. However, still very much open to other suggestions.
