It's because his running lights are on. When they are on the outer led is lit. It's hard to tell but his lights are on.

I had to OCD and figure that out when I wired the trailer. I was like ??????? What's up with this

I was the same way.....I was like "whats up with that?!?" Shouldn't they all be on or all off?

Enough so, that I went down to our O'Reily's and bought 2 more LED lights to see how those behaved. Instead of the two outer ones, I got 4 center ones. Different, but kinda the same too.

My OCD decided to keep the Pirahna ones as neither one really solved it entirely and I had already bought 4 from SkiDim.

Are all rear LED's like this?

Straight on, nice and solid.

At an angle, you can start to see the two outside LED's staying bright while the others are fading away. The further the angle, the more the others disappear....

Cranked it up after repairing it for 3 months. It was nice to see it run.
