I can assure you that dryer sheets do not deter rodents. My father tried them in his shed over the winter and found the mice had made a nest under his lawn mower seat. The nest was made from cardboard, grass, and a dryer sheet. He had the softest mice in the whole neighborhood.

Dryer sheets do deter Cheetahs. I leave them in the lake house over the winter and we've never had a Cheetah problem.

I have known a lot and have killed a few rats in my life but ya know last night I killed a deer for the first time in a vehicle, my F150. The deer darted out of the blue behind two cars I had just passed, and nailed it with the left front bumper going about 55, happened so quick. The front bumper is tough no damage, but blood splattered everywhere.

So my advise, if you see a rat as big as a deer hit it with the front bumper of your truck and leave it laying dead in the road, although I did pull the deer to the side.
