Custom rope

I want to make a custom rope on a budget. Anyone know a good source for either dyneema or spectra rope? What diameter is right for wakeboarding and which do you recommend for ease of use?

I'm going to make a "training" rope that I can put loops to allow me to vary the length at distances shorter than standard ropes (e.g., 50') for teaching a few boys to do wake to wake jumps. I'm not sure what lengths I'm going to use and would prefer experimenting on cheap, raw line than putting knots all over my good ropes.

Several vendors of Amsteel spectra rope on the ebays from time to time.

The bulk line is pretty cheap, its the handle the costs the money.

I believe 7/64" is about right.
