Help me pick a tower

I need to order a new tower and i'm having a tough time deciding what to get. The boat is a 1999 prostar 205dd. I know everyone is going to suggest a New Dimensions but its more than the budget will allow. I originally wanted a Joystick pro series because of its simplicity and i've been told its very strong but the more i look around i'm starting to think something with a little more style might be better. So far i'm considering the Joystick, a Aerial assault, the DIY wake pro, or possibly this one:

I kinda like the last one as it is very similar to the towers on some X1's. I realize its china made but with a budget of $1500 MAX for a tower and racks my options are definitely limited.

What about the monster MTK? Definitely budget friendly.

I actually considered a Monster but i don't like the looks of them. Especially the reverse arch MTK. Not sure what it is about it, but its not for me.

I bought from DIY, a few years ago. (My tower was on closeout.) Pretty good quality, especially for the price. Once I priced out everything. (racks, etc) Was about $1000.00 under ND. Yes, now wish I had gone, with ND. They just look better.

Some of the universal towers, can be a little flexy. I prefer the double loop tower, braced at the top. With Monster, not an issue, due to the larger tubes.

I actually bought my tower, to get better storage. Not unhappy with it's function. Just the ND, fits the shape of MC lines. Custom fit.

I found a picture of the Hydrosprort tower installed on a different boat, you may find it helpful.

I agree the ND is the nicest looking tower for my boat but its far more than i'm willing to spend right now. By the time i get racks and have the tower shipped i'll be into it for close to $3000. Thats too much to spend for a tower on a boat that is 14 years old and only gets 30hrs of use a year.

On a budget?

Joystick. $800 shipped, high quality. $1000 shipped with 2 wake racks for skis/boards etc.

Full tilt, baller budget?

Samson or New Dimensions. Nearly Identical lines. Both awesome, but spendy.

Just went down this road...

PS: Of course now you are just getting started, wake racks - speakers - lights, etc. More crap to spend money on if you feel like more boat toys.

Just for comparison, this is a 2003 X-Series tower that was put on my '99 in about 2006. I believe that it was made by ND. Maybe a dealer might have one of these laying around that they would give you a deal on.

Check out big air wake towers. All priced right. The vapor tower seems to go well with the MCs , and its priced now at $799.. we have the Aerial airborne tower. Fits us fine for now, were not big wakeboarders, but the kids are getting interested. It's nice to get a few things off the floor..

14 years is not that old. Just wait to to purchase a New Dimension tower you will not regret the decision. Plus a new dimension should not hurt resale since they look and fit like an oem tower.
