94 PS190 Battery Group Number/Size

What's the group number/battery size for a '94 PS190, the area on the spotter side of the tank.

Hoping someone has the correct size handy.

A battery that is 10 inches long by 6 1/2 inches wide will fit in there...that's what our battery measures.

No plastic battery case will fit in there though...

10 X 6.5 sounds a lot like a Group 24 battery.

Any clue if the box would hold ~13" X 7" for a group 27 marine?

I believe it is a group 24

I tried to fit a 27 and it wouldn't go in

Group 24 battery in my '93 Prostar 190 located back by the gas tank port side. It has a battery hold down but no plastic battery box.

Do not believe there is any room for that size battery...contemplating moving mine to the front beer cooler.

I moved my battery to under the passenger seat in the so-called cooler space. That space will accommodate a battery box and still allow the seat to sit on the pedestal without rubbing the battery box. I added a second battery on up in the bow, way up front in another battery box.

Had I kept my 93, this project was on my list. I probably had a short somewhere, but those sparks when reconnecting the battery next to the gas tank did not give me warm fuzzies. But it could have. And they would have been really warm, bad fuzzies.

I feel the same way... I think I will move mine this year...
