You guys got it all wrong. This isn't a tower on that fella's boat. It is so he can remove the engine for service. See, he uses the A frame to lift the engine out of the boat then a couple more fella's come over and they swing it toward the back. They catch it then set it in the back of a pickup truck on a cinder block. Just good maintenance focus from this guy.

If its not a tower then why are there wakeboard racks on it? As well as a wakeboard attached to the port side.

That is a DIYwake tower. The two back bars are installed incorrectly! They should be facing inward. The installation instructions should be more clear.
