Mini Tower height from floor

I am hoping someone can help here. I am trying to figure out how tall the mini towers are from the floor of the boat. I like the looks but if they are forehead high it would be a no go.

If i remember correctly, on our 214, the mini tower is about chin high on me, maybe a little lower. I'm 6'

New style or old? My older style was about 5-6" off the floor. Newer style maybe a bit less.

On my 2008, the mini tower is definitely too low, I went with the looks aspect but I need to duck a bit to go under it ... I am just over 6ft. So the height of the tower from the floor is just under that.

They definitey change the location of the tower from the older ND mini to the new one. With the old one if you stood straight up from the driver or observer seat you'd likely smash your head. With the new one it is further to the transom so you can stand up worry free, but you then need to duck to get to back of boat.

Thanks. That is what I was looking for. Right now my bimini is at 5 feet so I duck under it anyway. I am going to have the bimini go right on top of the tower so I think 5'6" will be about right. I am actually having mine custom made because I do not have an MC. I have a 94 Ski Centurion Falcon XP. I just have come to realize that this is the best tournament boat forum out there. I have learned more things here that I care to admit.

Don't forget to factor in higher or lower freeboard with your boat, which may give you more or less clearance.

Yea that is why I was asking for the height from the floor as the freeboard can vary so much. I thought I wanted it around 5 1/2 feet and looking at the specs for the MC mini tower that was my guess on its hieght. Now I only need to figure out if I want it to be more like the older style that had the tow point almost inline with the pylon or the newer styel which puts it a bit farther back. I just don't want to screw this up and make my boat look hideous. Thanks for everyone's response. As ussual this is a great place for advise.

I have my bimini just under my tower, that way when you stand up you hit the bimini, not the tower. Mine is even lower than a mini at 4'11" and IMO works great. It is a cut and shut ND mini.
