Has anyone raised the driver's seat up?

I have a 95 Maristar. I basically made a 8" high box out of 1" thick PVC. It would only take a few hours if you have a table saw. I screwed it together with deck screws. I've used it for a few seasons and it's solid as a rock. Won't rust and didn't have to paint it.
