Rigid trim tab

I know that there is at least one person on this board who has installed a rigid trim tab (like those on a drag boat) but I’ve searched for a while and haven’t had any success finding it. I plan to remove my nylon hook that I have glued to my stern and replace it with a trim tab but I don’t need to adjust it for any reason once I have it set to correct the porpoising problem at slalom/barefoot speeds. My Maristar wake is fine for our needs, the only thing I need to correct is the porpoising. My plan is to by a Bennett’s or Lenco trim tab without an actuator and use SS adjustors.

My Maristar 200VRS rides with the bow very high. It appears to be the hull design around 95 with the euro platform, some other 200VRS owners have the same problem. Over 35MPH it rides like a bass boat going down the lake, just the stern touching the water. The porpoising gets worse the more people I have in the boat, worse in the bow. No problems with just 2 people in the boat. No difference using a 3 blade or 4 blade prop.

I glued a 3/16 inch wedge on the bottom of the stern and it rides more like a direct drive.

My father-in-laws '89 Supra Comp has exactly what you're talking about installed from the factory.

Thanks for the pictures. That is EXACTLY what I want to do. Just have to find the hardware.
