Use the hell out of it! We just bought our 197TT in September (first boat ever) and had a short season. I realized i needed to put another $1,000 and about 80 hours (thank you Team Talk) into it over winter--2nd batt + wiring/isolator, refinish teak, wet sand/polish/buff/wax, spare prop, repair the propped I lunched (bonehead!), air spring helpers on minivan (i know, NOT cool) plus toys (skis, wakeboard, kneeboard, ropes, vests) and accessories (bumpers, anchors, rope, oar). Now I am DONE and hope I can keep it that way until the end of the season--the goal is to just enjoy with the wife, kids and friends.

I was told I need to buy a pontoon. Wife's orders. We are putting the down payment on one today over the phone, and picking it up in April. Box checked and glad I was able to convince her on a pre-owned one. Saved a ton of cash.

Now I have to add onto my dock. A new list starts
