WTB: Mastercraft Wakeboard Boat - Chattanooga,TN
Hi everyone! New'b here! I'm also a little new to the Mastercraft world. I've learned a little about the models, options and have a decent grasp on the going prices are for them..
I've been searching and searching for the right boat in my local area (w/in 200 miles) of Cleveland/Chattanooga, TN. I've exhausted all the resources I could find online (Craigslist, Boattrader, OnlyInboards, iBoats, etc. etc.) with no luck of finding a great price on a little older Mastercraft. Here's what I'm looking for: -2002-2005 year make -Prefer V-drive (seems to be great for holding value) -Open to anything w/ a full ballast system -Wakeboard tower w/ racks -Below 400hrs -GOOD condition interior/exterior -I'm not the one to talk dollars, but since I need help, I will say that lower to mid $30's is my price range. I understand condition is everything. I also understand the time is right for a premium, but I have a cash offer looking for a good deal! I've looked at other manufacturers of wakeboard boats and I can tell that Mastercafts are by far some of the best built boats I've seen. I JUST CANNOT FIND ANY AROUND HERE. Any local people out there know of any for sale?? Thanks, guys! I look forward to using this site more often! Last edited by SILENTxNOISE; 04-23-2013 at 04:03 PM. |

You might just have to expand your search, I know there are several boats that match your description that are for sale right here on teamtalk but there are farther than the 200 mile limit.

Thanks guys for the responses! And the time for searching! My biggest concern is traveling 300+ miles to just look at a boat. I've looked at about 10 boats over the winter and have been shocked at the condition they're in -- even after seeing many pictures. It seems people love to hide the bad things when taking pictures!
I would drive to get a great deal, but just concerned w/ wasting my time and gas to look at something w/ "less-than-expected" condition. I'm shocked that there aren't any around the Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville area that I can find to look at. |

It seems to be more common than not, that people end up driving a distance to get their boat. Some have the luxury to find the exact boat they want locally but that's not always the case.
For me, I bought mine off of eBay and then had UShip delivery it to me 1100 miles away.

Just out of curiosity, how much did it cost to ship? And did you buy it site-unseen?

I forget what I paid but I think it was around $900.
I did have a local mechanic check it out for me but yes, I did buy it sight unseen. Most people here would not recommend that but I got a decent price for mine and it was worth it for me.

However, I will say I knew exactly what I wanted so that made it easier. Depending on what you want, that may be difficult. And you probably need to test some out to see which you would prefer....
