Carter Fuel Pump 2 Stage

Got be my fuel pump for Rock Auto

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...6-P60987-88113

Too a close look at it P60962 original pump markings "1987 [Up arrow] TBI - 25 PSI MAX" then "?494B" - can't see around back of pump...

New pump P60987 pump markings "1987 [Up arrow] TBI - 25 PSI MAX" then "0517B"

Tested it - it did not spin up using plug on old pump that works... Rock Auto Exchanging ... I would test pump... If you got one - I think they are new old stock.

The one I bought off eBay came Friday. It says:
962 ↑ PFI - HIGH PRESSURE
2366C Made in USA

I assume 2366C is a manufacturing date/lot code.

Darn defective pump actually blew fuse - "won't say what my first words were...when the old pump would not prime up... " lol ... strange.... Guess I will test replacement as well... luckily don't need a new pump - was just a good back up idea...

Maybe the plug is reversed on that model pump.
